Easy Pork Chop Recipe


 
 

Hawaiian Pork Chops

 
Pork chops browned quickly, and then slow simmered in pineapple, pineapple juice, onion, green pepper, ketchup, salt and pepper. Serve with steamed white rice and hawaiian tropical fruit
 
Ingredients -
 
4 Rib Pork Chops, cut 3/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 can (8 ounces) Pineapple Chunks (undrained)
1/4 cup Ketchup
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
1 small Onion, sliced
1 medium Green Bell Pepper, cut into 1-inch chunks
2 tablespoons Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons Water
 
Preparation:
 
1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.

2. Brown pork chops briefly on each side, approximately 2 minutes per side.

3. Combine pineapple and juice with ketchup, salt and pepper.

4. Pour pineapple sauce over pork chops. Add onions. Cover and simmer 8-10 minutes.

5. Turn pork chops. Add green peppers.

6. Cover chops and simmer additional 8-10 minutes.

7. Stir in cornstarch mixture, simmer until sauce thickens.

Hawaiian Tropical Fruit Salad with Cream Cheese Topping
In a large bowl, gently toss together 1 peeled, seeded and cubed papaya, 1 peeled, seeded, and cubed mango, 1 small can mandarin oranges, 1/2 peeled, cored and cubed fresh pineapple, 2 peeled and sliced kiwis. In a medium bowl, blend 1 (8 ounce) package softened cream cheese, 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow fluff, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, on medium speed with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Cream cheese topping can be spooned over fruit, or left in a separate serving bowl for dipping.
