Garlic and Orange Marinated Grilled Pork Chops

Pork chops marinated overnight in olive oil, orange juice, cumin and fresh ground black pepper, Grilled on gas or charcoal grill over direct heat, until perfect.

Ingredients -
4 Pork Chops, Boneless or Bone-In, about 1- 1/4 inches thick
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1/2 cup Orange Juice
2 crushed Garlic Cloves
2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
1/4 teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
 
Preparation:

1. Combine olive oil, orange juice, garlic, cumin, and black pepper.

2. Place marinade in large zip-lock plastic bag. Add chops.

3. Secure bag and refrigerate 12-24 hours.

4. Remove chops from marinade. Discard marinade.

5. Preheat grill to medium heat.

6. Grill pork chops over direct heat, 12-15 minutes, turn grill additional 12-15 minutes.

Pork Chop Tips -
Orange Juice

Fresh orange juice is preferable to concentrate. The acid in the juice breaks down the meat fibers and tenderizes the chop. The citrus juice adds a nice flavor to the pork.

Marinating Pork Chops

Add pork chops to a resealable plastic bag; add marinade, seal and toss to coat. Marinate chops from two hours to overnight in the refrigerator. Remove chops from marinade, drain and discard marinade. Never reuse marinades that have come in contact with raw meat.
