Baked Pork Chops

Quickly browned pork chops are transferred to the oven and baked in brown sugar, vinegar, tomatoes, allspice, fresh cloves, salt and pepper. Easy, any night of the week recipe, prepared in minutes.

Ingredients -
6 medium Pork Chops
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Vinegar
1 (14.5 ounces) can Tomatoes
1 teaspoon Allspice
4 whole Cloves
Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.

3. Brown pork chops 2 minutes per side.

4. Place pork chops in baking dish.

5. Combine brown sugar, vinegar, tomatoes, allspice, cloves, salt and pepper in a small mixing bowl.

6. Pour over pork chops.

7. Bake 45 minutes to an hour.

8. Serves 4 to 6.

A substitute for allspice would be a combination of equal parts of cloves, ground cinnamon, black pepper, and nutmeg.
